I launched something that feels both very exciting and very vulnerable.

ELO is the first album I'm creating as Vaskilintu — 13 songs about life, death, breath, nature, belonging and the mysterious force that moves through all of us.

I've carried these songs for years.

But making an album at the level I'm dreaming of requires musicians, studio time, recording, mixing and mastering — and I can't do that part alone.

So yesterday my beautiful friend Betty opened a crowdfunding campaign for GoFunMe and I through mesenaatti.

If my music, my singing, or the spaces we've shared together have meant something to you, this is one way you can help me bring ELO into the world.

"Vaskilintu" means the brass copper bird in Finnish, a word that perfectly encapsulates the duality of the softness and strength of Magdalena Sofia's unique voice.

She is currently offering retreats, courses and vocal workshops internationally.
